download speeds

I would like to compare some download speeds, I am on a cable modem and other sites I download from I can get well over 200 kb per second. I seem to be crawling her at about 36kb per second. Is anyone else here with a high speed connection experiencing this same rate?

If there is some advice on how to pick up the pace I would appreciate it.

hi dude, the thing is, i honestly think it maybe an issue with your isp, the only real way of doing this is to find out what other sites are on our network in the server room them comparing them, i dont think i would be able to find that info out.

also, i think that if it was a problem with our site, i think we would have more than a couple of complaints about it, specifically from our platinum members, it might be worth asking franklynxxx he's a bit of an expert on this kind of thing.

ok, thanks I'll do that. It's just that I figure if it's my ISP then any site I went to I would experience the slow download speed, but that's not the case. It's only here that I get slow. I was just at another site a couple of days ago and my download speed was around 337mb per sec.

IF ~ 200 Kb IS ALL YOU EXPECT YOU PROBABLY HAVE HAD INFERIOR

SERVICE FROM THE BEGINNING.


Dude know what you're taking about before you do , unless you are
browsing by way of the NRO ( National Reconnaisance Office ) or the
NSA ( National Security Agency ) be assured you have not experienced
a 336 megabyte per second download speed - 336 kilo-bytes per sec ,
perhaps. Cable tops out at 5 mega-bits which is 600 kilo-bytes ,
0.6 meg per sec.

Where is FF hosted, out of interest? I'm on Sky Broadband's £5 a mth package and downloads are light speed! In fact, its a pain having to go back and click on the next 003, 004, 005, etc, file! Wish the limit on each segment could be increased
