I'm one of the people that irritate you experienced folks, but I'm starting to see that a handful of threads could be joined under one -so somebody's not taking time to look around before starting new threads. I like the idea of adding to one's rep before commenting and drawing some stroker like THESHAPE into a deadend. Thanks for listening.
hold on, was I being agressive or were you referring to NUTRITIONSHAKE? anyway I'm not a stroker, I'm more of a beater.

Sorry Shape, I was refering to the 'shake' and not the 'shape'. I apologize for that. (Shaken, beaten, just not stirred, that's my personal treatment.)

    Default Perhaps

Perhaps there is a way to prevent a thread from getting "bumped" back to the top if the new reply/post doesn't contain new images? Just my $.02

I've read through every comment on this thread and the crazy thing is: EVERY one of them MAKES SENSE.

It is annoying when you have a child like feeling on the bottom of your belly when you think you've finally found new material on your favorite thread. But then you find out it was someone saying hi and the whole child like feeling visits Jackson's bedroom and the excitement is gone. On the other hand you might have forgotten your favorite thread and the new "HI!" post brings it up again and you'll find it.

It's more than a great idea to group the same kinda things onto one BIG thread. But how to do that? It's not easy to find similar threads to the post YOU wanna post. It would be even harder for mods to do that, to do all the work. Doesn't sound good either. I'm really not jealous of mods. A tough job they have.

So how to prevent millions of threads, all about one thing? Deleting them? By deleting threads we can lose something unique, something that can't be found anywhere else: pics, clips, stories, links, whatever.

If someone wants to thank about a post or just say what they think about a thread or a post, they should be allowed to do that. The freedom to say whatever you want is a privilege, that some don't have. After having that becomes the responsibility of what you're saying.

    Default Not with this suggestion

Although I can appreciate the annoyance some people might have in visiting a thread and finding no new content but just a simple thank you, I feel it would be wrong to try and discourage this as the comments that are left are a good indication to the poster of the data whether it is worth his while continuing to post more of the same. I know that I personally use that as a yardstick with any of my posts, simply put, if I find it is not popular, or lacking comments, I don't waste my time or the sites resources posting any more, therefor if you were to put some kind of a bar on people leaving their appreciation, I think the forum would ultimately loose out in the long run, as I am sure that I can't be the only person who uses replies in this fashion.

I don't see anything wrong with bumping an old thread.
