What's with the change in image viewing?

This may be a FAQ, but since this week (?) I notice that the forum's method of displaying images when I click on thumbnails has changed. Why? I preferred it when you just clicked the thumbnail and a new window came up with the image. So you could see the thumbnails and images in different windows.

you can still do that, its called a lightbox, have you not noticed how the quality seems better when you lose the background or put the pic on a black background.

its part of the upgraded software, have a look at your usercp theres new stuff there too.

I liked the old method of displaying much more too.
I can click on an image with the right mouse button to open it in a new window, but can I set an option in my userCP to get it back to the old method?

I understand tweaking your medium. But I've noticed it takes much longer to get an image up --and often when I only have a few moments to 'tweak my medium'. Does darkness move slower than light?

You can right click 'open in new tab' to circumsize, uh, circumvent the genius new way images are displayed.

i don't like it either. i used to ctrl click to open it in the background on a new tab but now that doesn't work any more so i have to right click, select the open in new tab , and then leftclick. very anoying and timeconsuming but i guess these are the blessings of progress

I liked the old way better, too. used to be able to open all the pics that looked interesting with a few clicks. the new way is a pain -- my 2 cents

I dig the new way...

Instead of having to open every image you want to look at in a new window or tab, click on it it see what your looking at, and if you want the full version...

take the 1/8 a second to click the light box image to get the full res in a new window or tab w/ no right clicking required.
