You can still open an image up in its own window...when you see the little box loading the pic, just click it and it will open in another window instead.

Every new update the forum experienced this past week was for the better, except possible the new way pics open up. While I prefer the old way, I can live with the new way no problem.
There are a lot of new features I like, but I don't the way the pix open up. it is slow, and because it opens centre, a part iof the pic s hidden behind some other windows I have open.
I prefer open all the pix in a post in separate tabs and when all loaded, see them.
I hope there is a way to go back to the good old way to open pix.
Beside this, thanks for all the new features on FF, it is good to improve and redesign it now and then.
can you give us the option to disable that atrocious new way to open preview pics?
everything else is step forward but that garbage is a step backwards IMHO.

I don't like this new method, it adds extra steps and doesn't always 'work' when I double-click an image. I thought having thumbnails was the way of providing previews? I don't want an extra step put in the way, especially when it's some scripting to have it overlay the existing page.
