Non-friends can view private albums in profies...

I just recieved some very disturbing news that members not on my friends list can view my pics in my "private" album. I would like to know how this is possible being that the discription provided on the site says otherwise.

I just did another test with a gent in the chat room and he confirmed that he could see my pics. He also was curious about the same thing that has happened to him.

I since deleted the album but am no VERY conserned about the exposure that I have with some of my private pics.

Would love to hear back on this matter.

When I look at your profile I see no Albums at all, neither Public nor Private. Same with sunshinegirl. Does that reflect reality?

(I had a similar problem last year -- I got told off for displaying cummed-on pics -- which, thinking they were private, I didn't know I was displaying -- I thought they were between me and the cummed-on ladies. So I emptied the "private" album. Don't know what the current status is.)

You got told off for displaying cummed on pics because they are against the forum rules, which apply to all areas of the forum.

I know that, ElG, and I accept it, but the question does remain -- are private Albums really private? If not, that should be made clear to the creator, preferably at the time s/he creates a "private" Album.

they are all private, except to admins, for obvious reasons.

I have many profile albums full of pictures of myself, but only my friends (and a few peeping Tom admins) can view them.

From your earlier post, I guess you've made all your Albums private. Good to know that it works. One more test . . .

There is a way to do that for individual Albums, which is the way I do it. Can you see my private Album? Non-friends shouldn't be able to.

Who was the member kcage? I have since logged on as a normal user and am unable to see any privat albums at all.

I notice that the Edit Album dialogue has two choices for Album Type: Public or Private - Only visible to contacts and moderators. No mention of Friends.

Could it be that the member able to see kcage's "private" album is not a friend, but is a contact?

What's the difference between Contacts and Friends?
