Time. Semen loses its thick consistency after a little while regardless of whether it’s frozen or not. This is semen’s normal behavior which has been evolved to help with reproduction. The semen at first is thick, in order to hold all the sperm cells together and protect them from the female’s immune system. Then, the semen “melts”, allowing the sperm to then swim and seek out the egg.
