One of them looks like this: Adele at the Mirror Gloryhole.mpg.002 (which was a blank file with zero in it); another one was Adele at the Mirror Gloryhole.mpg.001 (which came up with an RAR file icon, but wouldn't uncompress).

It sounds as though this one didn't download correctly.
"Adele at the Mirror Gloryhole.mpg.001"
This is correct. Do you own MacHacha? That is what you need for the joining process.

I did download MacHacha and I am downloading the files properly! I've tried clicking on them (so they go straight to download), right clicking on them and finally right clicking and then renaming. Everything yields the same results in Firefox as I used to get in Safari: The first file is fine, second, third, etc. won't load or play. The file size is there... but it's like there's no file. So, I'm going to throw the towel in on this particular project!

We can figure this out.

When you download everything in Firefox, you double click on the first file. MacHacha opens up and joins all of the files automatically. When it is done you should have a file that is really big. Say there are 3 files to download it might be in the 60-120Mb range. Do you have that? Does that happen when you double click the first download after all of the other files have downloaded?
