    Default Internal Hard Drive Failing

Recently in the last few weeks my internal hard drive which i've had for 3 years is failing. The hard drive has begun to malfunction with freezing, to not even showing up as detected by windows. I'm currently trying to copy stuff off it movies, photos etc on to a external drive, however some files seem to copy ok and others (small and large files) just take forever and then fail.

Is there anything I can do to get these files off quicker or make sure the process doesn't fail when copying?? 3rd party software etc? At the moment it seem sometimes i'm lucky copying files off and other times not.

    Thanks
    .

Is the drive failing ? Have you checked if the cables are well connected first ?
D O N ' T - copy off file per file , copy the entire hard drive over to the other.
This should work for you , and its free.

    .
Yeah I have checked the cables etc, currently got it in a USB enclosure copying off files as it would just freeze my machine when connected via sata when it fails trying to copy. I get a few error messages this is one of them 'cyclic redundancy check' some files i'm able to copy and some i'm not

If you run a disk check, your computer may be able to repair some of the damaged files
