File names missing when downloading with Chrome

Hi fellow pervs

I use a Mac and I have been experimenting with different browsers. I have now startet using Google Chrome and so far it's my favorite. But there is one thing I dont understand, so I thought - maybe some of the wonderful people here at FF will be able to help

When I download the HJ-split files EX.: xxx.avi.001 - it will look like this in my download folder: xxx.avi.001. So far that's ok, but when I join the files, the complete file looks like this: xxx

I have tried looking in the Chrome preferences to find out where the setting is wrong - cause I assume that it is Chrome that's doing it?

Can anybody shed a light over this "mystery"?

Get info in the file and check the Name & Extension - it should have .avi - it may just be that you have "hide extension" checked.

Does it play?

When I check info it doesn't have the extension - neither is the "hide extension box" checked. So I find it rather qurious

Woops - what I said in my forst post is not entierly true. This is what happpens:

I download these parts: xxx.avi.001, xxx.avi.002, xxx.avi.003

When they are downloaded in my folder, they look like this:

xxx.001, xxx.002, xxx.003

And when I put it together with Data Glue, it looks like this: xxx

So somehow it's like the extension disappears

Any advice?
