How to delete files from the File Upload Manager

There are some pictures that I would like to remove from the File Upload Manager but I can't figure out how to do that. Plus, it says "Uploads not utilized within one hour will be deleted" but my files are still there 3 days after I uploaded them.

When you move your mouse over the picture in the File Upload manager, you will see cross in the right corner. Clicking on it will delete the file.

I my case, when I place the mouse over the picture it's a question mark that appears in the upper right corner.

Maybe I should point out that those pictures are not used in any of my posts.

If you are using IE 10 as a browser that will be the case... Use chrome or firefox and you will be able to delete them.

Well in our situation, all works fine except, the ones not uploaded remain in the "awaiting to be uploaded" box.
Although it should be deleted automatically(after 24 hours), but it remains there up until now(months have passed)

Drag and drop the files you wish to delete into the empty "attachments" area at the bottom, then you will be able to delete in the same way that has been described above.
