All downloads gets the same file name. Please help.

Today when I came home from work my computer somehow had restart on its own and my Windows browser was updated to ei 11. Now all my downloads gets the same file name " attachment " and I can not download hj split files.
So I thought I would use firefox instead but it was just the same problem.
Anyone know what this it and how to fix it.

There were known problems with IE10
I don't know the answer myself but I will pass this on to admin for you.

Very wierd but firefox works for me today and ofcause chrome works also.
But ie still do not work.

this happened to me a few months back.

don't know exactly what, but when i updated my Java it fixed it.

it is definitely related to the add ins somehow.

Hi ... same problem here. I've tried everything I can think of. I cannot download the split files, but also I cannot download many of the other files. And the file name is always the same "attachment" which obviously I can change, but its annoying. But the main problem is not being able to download many files. This is going to start making a negative impact on business, guys. New people will not want to sign up if they have the same problems !

Well Dex all I can say is that with ie 11 I get the same problems at lots of other sites using ajax not just vbull forums so I think it is their problem.

Do you also get the same issues with it elsewhere or just here?

I too believe this is a Microsoft internet explorer problem if I use IE 11 it does do as you say downloads all files as attachments and they are not named correctly.
But when I use the latest version of mozila firefox (got no idea why you wouldnt use this instead of IE) every thing downloads as it should.

I dont think there is any thing we can do to help with this except sugest alternative till IE is fixed

Much better than IE over years of use here and elsewhere.

To be honest I don't know why anyone would even consider using IE anymore
