I am now 25, and I masturbate maybe.. 3-5 times a week. Now when I go to finger myself I take my clothes off, lay down on our bed, and start to slowly rub and finger myself. It does get better with age, I find you learn better technique too, In the last few years I've been able to cum left or right handed, even though I'm a Right Hander, the advantage is I can use my Left and use my right to peruse my Collection of Vids and Pics.

Better but There's a Balance
I would say yes, I am better at making myself feel good, and more willing to take the time to fully enjoy myself.
Two caveats, though. First, as a circumcised man, the head (glans) of my penis has become less sensitive over the years (I'm in my mid-late 40s). I have changed my technique over the years (much more direct stimulation of the glans), so it hasn't had much of an effect on my self-pleasuring.
Second, especially in the last few years, I find that I can get too much of a good thing. When I was younger, this wasn't an issue; I could masturbate as frequently as I wished (generally 1-2 ejaculations a day most days) and it had no effect on my partnered sex life. Now, I find that if I much time at all masturbating (even if I forego orgasm and ejaculation) I can have some difficulty maintaining a full erection that same day with my wife. Lately I have incorporated a cock ring and more self-pleasuring into our sex life to ensure that we both enjoy ourselves.
Fortunately, we are having a bit of a sexual renaissance recently, so the choice between self-pleasure and partnered pleasure is an easy one (basically I save the jacking off for days when I know we won't be having sex). I find that about 36-48 hours is the optimum interval between sexual acts right now--shorter than that, and I may not stay hard the whole time, longer than that and I get sore balls, or I may have some trouble getting aroused initially.
