Just a point of clarification on my own, earlier question. Bob Guccione, publisher of Penthouse, used Penthouse Pets in the actual hardcore scenes. I also discovered a new term (to me anyhow) "unsimulated sex". Unsimulated sex is when actual hardcore sex occurs in a scene in an otherwise mainstream movie. The two ways this is done is to insert a separately filmed hardcore scene, featuring porn extras, into the movie. The other obviously is to just have the actors who were already cast engage in actual hardcore sex. The latter is more common in European films than in the US.
