I understand the needs of the site very well
but the setting makes navigation almost impossible
until recently there was a “close” button (now disappeared)
I can not see the posts anymore
I'm sorry to have to complain...but I remeber the site of the best times

This place is over priced. There, I said it. I know money needs to come in, but the rates are too high, and you're keeping out people who would gladly pay if it were lower.

The truth is, Tumblr is free* and has gigabytes of content every day. You guys are going to go the way of the dinosaur if you think this big payment model is a long term successful idea. I paid Platinum here for years, but your current rates I cannot justify. It's spank-material. The Tubes have most of it. Even your "exclusive" content gets spread everywhere. I don't spread it around, but I see watermarked FF stuff all the time. It's just not a marketable hook anymore, folks. Reddit has so much material it's actually quite astonishing, and the bizarre specificity of it all is fascinating.

Anyway, I wish you guys success, but I won't be surprised if this place is abandoned within 5 years. I find it sad.

    Just my honest opinion.

*yes, I understand Tumblr has a business model that rakes in cash

If I may add my $.02, the popup ad is intrusive, but I understand the need to generate revenue. My objection is the frequency that it appears. On some of my visits here, it has appeared on almost every single page load. It appears to be set to come up at random, with no limit on the number of instances. I was hoping that might change when the prior offer expired, but the new one is just as bad. It's a nag, like a salesman following you around a store, continuously asking if you need help no matter how many times you say, "No, thank you." For many people, that kind of nagging will drive them right out of the store. Same applies here.

Is it possible to limit how many times the ad appears within a session? I'm a former web developer, and my approach would be to set session variables (cookies that expire as soon as the visit/session expires, usually 20 minutes by default). The code would display the popup on the first page load and set a counter. Once a specified number of popups had displayed (please, no more than 2 or 3) it would stop. It could also count page loads between popups, allowing a minimum rest of say, 5 page loads before displaying the popup again.

I think limiting the number and frequency of popup ads will help this site promote more subscriptions without driving away potential customers.

I don't know. Lower the price?

I simply don't see younger (21+ years old) people signing up and paying this much. It's just a lot of money for spank material that eventually bleeds into every "free" part of the 'net.

I don't know if there is an answer. I'm just not optimistic, and I cannot see spending so much per month on jerk-off material. It's crazy.

I'm happy you have the technological expertise to make this suggestion. I was going to suggest something similar, that is, limiting the frequency, without furnishing the means to nave it successfully accomplished.

I completely understand the financial issue (no one does anything for free or you don't do it for long!) but I agree it seems a bit pricey. Unfortunately I'm not in a financial position to subscribe to any sites any longer so perhaps I have no standing in the matter.
