I can't find a way to delete photos I've posted or to edit many of my posts. Do I need to delete my whole account to do this?

And would deleting the account permanently delete all my posts and photos, including on closed threads?

But why can't I delete photos I've posted or edit posts? Do I need to delete my whole account and remove everything or is there another way?
