HJSplit & WMV.
Just wanted to get feedback from any who may have joined files from downloads which are in parts ( eg 01.02.03.04 etc ) with a wmv format.
The question is once the HJsplit program completes and a mediaplayer is used to play the movie file( eg250mb or 350mb ) , is the play stream seamless or do you get short durations ,whilst audio is contiuous, the video image is played in short -med bursts , like a stream. Which ever is the normal condition , this scenario ,as explained above is really annoying to watch.
Is something wrong in this case , or is it a WMV condition when files are joined, you get segments . Any input would be help as I've never joined mpegs, avi or wmv to compare. This is a case of wmv. and the completed file is over 300mb

This is what I do and it works perfectly:
Download the files and make sure they're named 001, 002 etc.
Open the first file in 7zip (an excellent free archiver which supports a variety of formats, including split files) and extract the file using that.
Works perfectly and it doesn't pause, skip or anything else.
Hope that helps at least a little :)

7zip
Ok Thanks, well, if these files or others could benefit from an alternative method, your said program could be worth checking . Thanks for input.
