How To Cut Movies

does anyone know how I can cut in movies?
I have alot of movies wich are very big (for example 100 / 400 mb), but I only like one special part (for example the end of a movie.... the facial).

Is it possible to cut in these movies and only save the good part en throw away the rest?
My hard disk is running full and I am looking for a solution the keep the best part of my movies and throw away the stuff wich I dont look at ( I always skip forward...)

First of all:
This is a tool anyone should have:

It is a free video converter which can convert nearly all formats.

Convert all ur vids in avi with the super converter, then use VirtualDub:
netzwelt. de/software/1943-virtualdub.html

Does this tool only convert the movies or am I also able to cut in the movies and save the parts I want?

You can also use 'movie maker' which is generally included in most Windows packages. (Came standad with my XP w/ WMV.) Also easly to use w/ step by step help menu. Makes screencaps too.

Yeah, both of these are good options, movie maker is a great quick and dirty editor and virtual dub is a really good choice as well, I personally use an application called something like AVI MPEG ASF WMV Video Splitter that is pretty solid as well.
