I'm still amazed how male-centric this magazine is/was. I appreciate they're honest about it. It's obviously catered towards males but I don't think they expected women to enjoy them too. I bet there were a lot of women who secretly read these magazines. I guess now they have "playgirl" to look at too.

Keep up the good work. I need to go back and see what else you've posted. I stopped posting my collection because you have better selections than I. I suspect you'll post the same ones I have.

Can you believed each issue in the 50s were only 50 cents? It cost only $13 for a three year subscription! You can't beat that price. Sign me up! I wonder if that was considered "expensive" back in those days.

I'll bet they did think it was expensive.

A house cost $14,000 and a car cost $2000. The average annual income was $3500. I can just hear grandpa now:

"When I was your age, Playboys only cost 50 cents!"
