I don't want to drive this great thread off topic mate any more that I have to but there is more to this than just a bandwidth problem here.

If you are suggesting that full photo sets from an individual site be split in this way then this still leaves us open to all kinds of potential hassles from site owners, therefore this is not to be encouraged.
