Thought I woulds sticky this thread, as it pertains to everyone here and is good for new members to know and old ones to be reminded of :)
Thanks for your efforts Jzzr!

I just thought I would give this thread another bump, just to remind people new to the chat to read this.

On the one hand the above seems like common sense and attempts to lend almost high brow respectability to this site. And I think that is fine but it also totally unrealistic.
This site, in my view, is both fun and harmless. No one, I would imagine, has ever gotten physically injured from looking at Facial Forum. I’m glad it’s available. But come on. The mere fact that this forum, like all internet forums, is anonymous tends to bring out some rather unpleasant realities about many people. That is all the more true here since sex is such a sensitive subject, especially for men who have trouble finding desirable, willing women.
I would not be at all surprised if most, though not all, of the "women" on this site are men indulging in some personal fantasy. That is absolutely the case even on well known chat sites like Yahoo, The pictures in the free section here seem real enough but a large percentage are easily recognizable as internet retreads. I have a few hundred on my hard drive, I bet a lot of men do, and my wife writes it off as "well that's just how men are". And she likes real sex just fine, thank you. But she is not a porn star and has no interest in becoming one.
Again, this is all fine and, after all, I'm typing this here. If I don't like it I'll leave and no one will care. But the reality is that this is a porn site and someone is trying to make money by running it. It is just the same as why all the girls in these pictures did what they did. They did it to make money. We all should keep that in mind.
This is totally unsurprising and the way of the world. But trafficking in commercial sex is not the world's most high brow endeavor; far, far from it. How much more primal can you get? Why do you think they call it "the world's oldest profession"?
I disagree with just about everything you said. The point here is basic manners. Sure there are men on here pretending to be women, but trust me, there are many women on here who are just that... women.
You are so far off topic with your post I wonder if you really read the entire thread. What we are trying to do is not have the male majority scare off the female minority at the forum by badgering them and asking personal questions behind the cloak of a keyboard and computer screen. Does that make sense to you? BTW most of the geeks that hound the females on the forum wouldn't have the balls to say the things they do to their face.
Basic manners is what this thread is about.

agree, there is a line that should not be crossed and that is when you make the other party uncomfortable.
on a purely male pig note...if you piss off a lady there is an even smaller chance that she will ever give you the time of day much less anything else.
even those of us that would share our S/O would never approve of her genuinely being treated badly.
really just think about it, what if it was your wife? she gets online, she shares your enthusiasm for all things ff.net and there is some tool making her uncomfortable. in the end it is not cool.
not cool in real life, and it is not cool here in a place that should be more of a community/ safe haven.

I have to disagree also with the bulk of what you wrote, BcdErick. This thread is not about the "attempt to lend almost high brow respectability to this site". It is quite simply a reminder to our male members to play nice and not to scare off the women, and couples who visit FF. And yes, some of these 'women' are undoubtedly men. But many are NOT! That can be seen with the number who have posted verification pics and vids. Something most other adult forums truly lack. I also strongly disagree with this statement: "It is just the same as why all the girls in these pictures did what they did. They did it to make money." Beyond the rather crass bit about FF, this caricaturization that all the women shown here are either porn stars or in effect 'whores' seeking monetary gain is both incorrect and insulting. Many active members are in fact women who are doing this because they find this to be sexually exciting and just plain fun! We all should see to it that they continue to have fun here at FF.
I appreciate active discourse, but make sure you truly grasp the subject before you say things that just are not true.
I preciate this thread. Just this thing with etiquette should be for everything. I haven't been harazed very much on the site and most people seem nice. But Maree for example told me she got a few odd requests, she mostly just ignored it she said and did not really got bothered by it. Maybe her problems with her job could be that she turned down someone that wanted to get back on her? What do I know?
I just know that I like to be treated with respect. I'll gladly talk about sex and share my experiences. Just because you're a girl and am on a "porn forum" doesn't mean you're willing to c6 with everything in two legs.
As for girls being guys...yes maybe some are, but believe it or not girls have the same kind of sexdrive as guys. So to say that most girls on the site are guys that's just sad. I don't care really, if you think I'm a guy it's your own lose. But I do think it's a sad attitude. What I do know with my friends are that some of them pretend to be guys on different forum to stay away from getting bombarded with odd requests. I am sure it's the same with this place.
The fact that ladies come on here and actively contribute and participate is something rather unique in my experience.
Surely there is nothing wrong with them having a safe (as is practical) and welcoming environment in which to do it.
Where would we be without them after all?
I doubt very much that anyone here on the staff side of things is here to make money.
