You are not the only one disappointed. This is an open competition for the members to vote however they choose. No one intimidates them or cajoles them into picking one entry over another. Each member makes their own decisions and casts the votes they want to make. That is not "discrimination" nor is it "blind" obedience. It is simply people understanding the situation, weighing all factors, and making their own choice. Verification is a valid part of that decision making. If you choose not to get verified then that is your choice. But you cannot make that choice and then blame people for making their own conclusions about it. Personally I am beyond tired of members who handicap their entries and then proceed to whine and complain when they do not get the votes they feel they deserve. Even worse when they threaten/promise to stop posting because of it. It is just a small, petty thing to do. So yes, I too am disappointed!

I was simply openly and honestly expressing my opinion (in this open forum)

My appologies to those that feel slighted by my opinion, that was not my intention.

The bottom line for me, is that it is always exciting for me to see new, and amateur photos, therefore, for me, the best way to encourage new people to submit, is to vote for them! As simple as that. No offense was intended, I am sorry if you took it that way.

If we do happen to win some free time (i.e. 1 month), I would like to request that the moderators split this time into 4 equal parts and donate it to each of this month's "unverified" submissions as my way to encourage further submissions.

jbourne none of us are meaning an offence and are not demanding of you to verify in any way, you can enter the competition and not verify and if you win you will be awarded the prize members have given you with their votes, its just that we have found statistically that members tend to vote for verified members, we ask all members who enter and are not verified to verify as this will increase their vote and maybe a larger prize too, we ask this so contributors get the best vote for their contributions and therefore enjoy their experience here all the more.:)

We as moderators do this all for the fun and so we as moderators keep a happy medium here at the forum, I always strive to keep the competition a fun place for all and always treat everyone the same regardless of verified or non verified, I hate to see anyone enter here and feel disappointed by the lack of comments or votes but each vote is down to the individual here and so I always try to get each contributor the best help in getting more votes and members being verified before voting starts I think always increases their chances.

It is possible to vote for more than one entry - but you have to do it at the same time, you cannot vote for someone then come back later and vote for someone else.

Choosing not to verify is a choice that is right for you. We all have choices. If your goal is to will maybe a private verification would satisfy all parties. (if such a thing exists, I could be thinking of somewhere else or making it up in my head, all things are possible).

You are correct Bishop007. Every couple here can choose to privately verify. The process doesn't even have to include anything sexual in the pics. Jbourne was informed of this and chose not to do so. That is their choice, but, as most things in life, you have to live with the consequences. Anyone who chooses not to verify has to accept that many members will understandably doubt their entry. I am not casting aspersions, it is just the way it is.
