Two questions:
1. What does reputation points do for me?
2. Is there a way to see who has given points? Right now all I can tell is when it happened, what thread it was for and the comments they leave behind. However, it does show who posted the comments or gave me the points.

Where are you guys finding these "points?" I've never seen any points, or any blue marks for that matter. :confused: Looks like a real can of worms has been opened up here.

Well that's just great. I post a movie and get kudos and commendatiion in print replies while getting a blue mark from somebody at the same time. Then I offer a meaningful suggestion to a tech problenm and get a blue mark from somebody else. Wazzup wit dat? I'v been a paid member here for more years than my profile sez. The rep just means rep- thats it- you don't go to hell or heaven based on your #'s.
There are no "bonuses" or "concequences" to the reputation recieved.
It is nothing to worry about :)

I read through this thread rather quickly, but I didn't notice anyone mention the green dots by our screen names. Once you get enough rep you'll get additional dots. For example, notice 9inch's impressive harem of three dots.

Looking at the FAQs for 'reputation', explains the colours.
Reputation may be positive (green), negative(red) or neutral(blue)
Negative reputation may only be given if the administrator has enabled this. Neutral reputation is only given when the person giving reputation does not meet the criteria set by the administrator to affect someone else's reputation.
