I saw the thread title and I was thinking it meant a facial app for phones.
Like Grinder is for gay guys, it could let people know if there's someone nearby who wants to give or get a facial. Genders could be color-coded.
Of course, I doubt it would take off, but it was a cool thought! :rolleyes:

Please, please, PLEASE install the Tapatalk plugin. It's free for the site, and there are mobile clients for iPhone, android, and WebOS. I use it for a couple of forums and believe me it ROCKS.
I just took these screen shots of Tapatalk on my iPhone, so you could kinda see what the app does/looks like.
I just signed up as platinum and did a jailbreak on my 3GS. What installs should I perform to be able to view FF content? There are many I've found but I don't want to waste money, memory or download something harmful. please help.

I do web development and I could create a mobile version of the site, if the admins were interested. I have done web development for Mobile OS's for awhile. It would require no special plugins, no special apps. Just go to it in your mobile browser and you are good to go!

yah sorry, i know its not a skin, i was refering to other options, and it was late.
the main issue with tapatalk is there restriction on sexual content, when you add your site to there system, you have to confirm the is not overt sexual content on it, i dont think we would pass that one.
i am just working on a solution though, i could do with a couple of testers with diff mobile devices, so if you fancy testing for me, then let me know your device and ill pm you.

You can use TouchBB for iPod Touch / iPad / iPhone users. I use it for my forum and works like a charm. Install a script in the forum's file system and you're done.
ok you both have devices with you now, what happens when you go to ff.net via your device now, ive added support for mobile devices.
i was looking at it on a itouch earlier, although it was the standard template it was perfect, what im trying to test is the detection for devices and the mobile skin ive installed, manually you can check it from your device with this link: http://www.facialforum.net/index.php?styleid=6

On an uptodate iPhone 4 (not jailbroken) the layout looks good.
The only snag i can see is that the Normal Version button doesnt work, which is a shame as I prefer the original site, due to more information being shown on the screen.
ok having trialed this all afternoon, i can say using detection and a mobile style is not the answer, it slowed us down by probably 20 -25%.
im happy to try tapatalk but, if it slows us down it wont be staying.
also if tapatalk decides it does not like our content, they may remove our site from there system.

Yeah, the mobile version left a lot of functionality behind. Server performance hits are also unacceptable; same goes for Tapatalk. If it doesn't slow down the backend, awesome. If it does, give it the boot and we'll be happy to continue with what works. :)
