I will say mine right off the bat is the 90's don't know why for sure but everything just seemed really lackluster for the most part.

I'd probably go with the 70's due to excess body hair and too much focus on the men (nothing worse than blowing your load to John Holmes' O face):eek: but there are definitely some standout starlets from that era Seka, Desiree Cousteau, Annette Haven to name a few.
I am gonna say 90's, the whole Vivid era, all the girls were blonde and plastic. I love curvy, real, brunettes...

The 90's definitely and I agree with Alkie American porn is so dull and predictable, all the actors use the same script, awful. Originality in American porn ended in the 90's and even with HD it is as a genre just ground to a halt.

That is a good point too. I was mainly talking about American porn because that is pretty much all I saw. Keeping in mind there wasn't an internet with pretty much anything at your fingertips. Video tapes were expensive even to rent let alone buy. No other real options.Quote:

You know, I would have to say recent stuff, ie, this decade so far. The past few years have seen a real drop in quality i think with everything becoming homogenised and ruled over by a few giant companies.
Some of you guys might not even remember when not only had you to be a porno star, you also had to be an actor/actress, having to play out some ridiculously diabolically written story line, yes, back then a porno had to have some kind of a plot, to pass off as an actual film. :rolleyes:
Gonzo changed all that of course, it was a revelation when it first hit our screens, the stupid plot lines disappeared, instead just straight into the action but like everything else, familiarity breeds contempt and now we are all growing tired even of this, so the big question is...
