Man that REALLY sucks! Its just too hard to navigate the web page on a smart phone. I can't remember when I was this bummed last. Oh well, take care FF....
Yes, we are disappointed too. Was really slick on an iPad or phone.

Security and privacy are extremely important to this forum, but this really really blows. I usually surf FF from my phone due to convenience, and doing so from the browser is really onerous. Are there are options for iPhones by chance? This will seriously impact whether I renew my platinum membership.

Its a pitty, cause tapatalk was really nice alternative for smartphone users. Browsing the forun using f.e opera mobile is pain in the ass. someone knows similar app for android]?
Agree its a real shame but also security is important.
But its a real pain to browse the forum on smartphones: basically u either have to open pictures in a new tab (and on the iphone the max no of tabs is 8) or just open the image but when u go back the whole page reloads again.
Same on ipad. So some alternative would be nice. Or some engine (like the google picture search/results view) which would make life easier on smartphones.
I might be alone with this but i prefer(ed) viewing this forum on my mobile devices. I'm not saying i'm leaving the site for this, obviously i wont but this will make me view the site much less. My problem i know :)
On my Android phone, opening pictures in the browser is actually a far superior experience than with the Tapatalk app, which takes forever to load. With Angel Browser I just long-click on a picture and it opens in a new tab in the background. I'll just do this to multiple images and then I have a mass gallery in the background of pics. I think the limit is 20 or something, not sure.
The only problem is the zoom and horizontal scroll that doesn't leave a user-friendly experience for browsing.
thats exactly how i use the forum on my android, but anyway, we are currently working on a solution as we speak, so dont worry too much, it wont be too long before we have a new mobile experience.

Got the mobile style working. Nice.
Only issue I have is I can't download the videos on my iPad. Whenever I download them I just get the attachment.php file.

Love the mobile site. Only thing is that there's no way to view subscribed topics.
Sure there is. Go to the 'more' button at the bottom and you'll find subscribed topics there.

Erm, I don't have a button that says that. Not on the main page or in the FF Menu area. There's a "more@vbulletin.org" link at the bottom, though, but that just takes me to liamwili's profile.
I also copied the full site's URL for the subscription page to my phone browser and it says that this feature isn't supported in the mobile site yet.
