help deleting cookies from xp

I have used the tools to delete the files, but some words still remain in the system. When I log into the forum, I enter the first letter in the log in and my screen name pops up, and I cant delete the words in the google search

I'm confused when you say you use tools to delete the files, what tools?

You should be able to clear cookies and clear your history in any browser.

I use FireFox and there's a setting there to clear all your data everytime you close it under Tools --> Options --> Privacy.

If you use IE I think its under tools --> internet options or something similar I don't have a copy of IE on here so not sure.

From your post I think it meant you wanted to clear your history so the website address doesn't show up. You may have turned on some of the autocomplete options as well so you might want to turn those off under the options as well.

Let me start off by saying in the future, we don't have such problem.

However, from the perspective of a person who does not travel through space and time such as myself, I would highly recommend firefox. Download is free. Highly superior to evil empire's version of browser. Go to "tools" and "clear private data." Problem solved quickly, no?

Try ccleaner at ccleaner dot com it clears all sorts of crap from your hard drive, just check through the options before you clean.
