which video player are you using? That makes all the difference.

Assuming you're on windoze I used a player called BSplayer that will play pretty much any file format when you want to capture a screen you just hit the "p" key and it will save it in whatever folder you specify. Then I use a little script called picjoiner that will join the multiple pics into 1 big pic.

I use a progamme called image grabber II which takes thumbnails of from various time locations of a vid file(you can specify the sizes of the thumbnails too), and then combines all of the thumbnails into one jpg file.....bit like an index card.

I've enclosed a sample of what im rambling about below.

If its particular screen dumps your want :-

• for mpgs I use windvd's capture function and then save the file created
• for wmv/avi files i use windows media player and do a printer screen, and then past the capture into paint of paintshop pro, and then save the new image file.
