i keep getting a banned message on certain threads ??? please reply

hello,

i keep getting this message on certain threads. i can look at them one day and another day i get the message. then a little later i can look at them again.

also i am not banned from all threads it just is 1 or 2 threads..... dont't understand why....

can someone please tell me why?

here is the exact message i get:

Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click here

I can't see any infractions on your account, so it must be a tech issue.

Are you an AOL user if so it could be a problem with IP addresses?
Also have you more than one account with us and are you sharing your login details with other users, if so you could risk getting banned.

i am on AOL . .....and i only have 1 account.

it doesn't always happen, just once in a while and it will only be on a certain threads page.

like if there are 3 pages posted i can see like page 1 and 3 but if i click on 2 it would give me that banned message.

i guess i will just deal with it........thanks for your help

ok,
the first problem is aol, they issue you a new ip everytime you log in to aol.
second is the users who have multiple usernames on FF who are also connecting via aol.

these users who have several u-names also have multiple ip's, this means if a banned user is with aol, it may mean we have to ban 20-30 aol ip addresses.

although we do not like doing this, it is something we have to do to keep the forum safe.

im sorry for the inconvenience it causes, but is an issue i have with isp's that allow multiple users to have the same ip.

it must be aol's fault, but what i dont understand is that i do not get banned from the entire site. i only get banned from one or two specific pages
