Tech help for home-made pictures

Hi, people

Is there anything I should know before starting to take my own facial pictures?

I am specially worried about lighting and makeup. I will not have the chance to work with natural light so some advice about how to correctly use flash will be appreciated.

The best is to take an Professional DigitalRefexCamera (like Nikon D200 with 8 takes/sek) and an powerful Fashlight ...then your can make photos with flying cum :-)

Of you won´t, a cheaper one works too.
Try to seperat the flash to take photos those like all are not laminar exposed

I owe an average digital camera so no flying cum pictures, I am afraid...
Also, I cannot use an independent flash... Do you know any trick to avoid laminar exposition with built-in flash cameras?

Try an white background, also left and right in order to get one evenly illuminating.

Hi - 1.u can try a flash diffusion
there many kind (you will need 1 that fits your camera)- but make sure it will need to be as far as it can from the flash itsalf.
so use 1 that can work in that way

2. take a stop or a stop& half at the flash +/- menu

that will ake the pic less harsh

Took the words right out of my mouth. Diffusion is imperative, otherwise fluid is way to reflective.

And a point and shoot camera has quite a few advantages. They're not fast, but tend to be light and small, so they're easy to aim if you're taking pics while "performing" My Canon D20 with a heavy lens on it is pretty tough to maneuver even without the Speedlite on it.
