Why no Max?

I am curious to figure out why we dont' post pics of Max Hardcore. I know it is pretty uncomfortable stuff, and I don't necessarily get off on his work - but I feel like he deserves our recognition and props for pushing the boundaries and helping make what we all enjoy acceptable in mainstream porn today. Even Sam No and her work on Massive Facials and Facialized would probably be questionable back when Max got in trouble, and now he has a tarnished name and everyone else is making $$ with what he started. Maybe I don't know all the facts, but I think we may be a little hard on mr. Hardcore.

He's a pretty loathsome individual. And he may have started stuff, but that doesn't make his stuff ok.

That's not accurate, prrp55. He was NOT charged with having sex with minors. I don't mind opinion, but I do care about falsified facts...

Yeah, I was a bit puzzled about the minor thing. I was of the opinion he had violated the agreements between the models and him.

Max is a horrible porn person, a loathsome porn person is a decent description. His treatment of women is disgusting. But...what happened to him was entirely wrong!
I have seen him interviewed without any porn people around and he is highly intelligent and well spoken. I actually liked him and what he had to say. Too bad he is such an asshole in his films!

They attempted to charge him in LA with underage sex because the women in his films portray underage women. That case was thrown out. It would be like charging Hollywood for all of the murders in their films and tv shows.
In those indictments were also charges of obscenity. I think they tried this twice but they were in LA and their attacks on the 1st amendment were unsuccessful.

The next time, they were careful to make the case happen in a place a little more conservative, Florida. A postal inspector mailed himself over state lines, five of Max's movies so that it would be a federal crime. They charged him with obscenity in the land of free speech because of the fisting, urination and vomiting in his films. This was in the era of Ashcroft, (see below). They were successful this time. He ended up having to serve time on these trumped up charges.

Ashcroft is responsible for all of the interesting amateur gloryhole content disappearing from the web during his tenure. They closed their sites in fear of being charged with felonies. The only amateur sites that were safe were the sites with deep pockets for lawyers and two person content, eg: husband/wife where they could prove that everyone was of age at filming.

On a personal note, he was also responsible for me not having a site a few years earlier. I was truly afraid. I think I even stopped posting my images on yahoo at that time.
Also I was accepted at FSU for a masters and chose not go there because of this case. I was afraid a nasty porn site owner in their midst would be too tempting of a target. This was after the regime change but the worry lingered.

You Europeans are lucky. One day I will live in Germany and do everything I have dreamed of doing that I can't do in the land of the free.

"The Land Of The Free" as you put it, is a pipe dream in the US, as long as there are narrow minded conservative politicians in office, ever mindful of the insanely hypocritical but powerful religious elements over there, I am afraid you will never truly have a "free society"

However getting back on topic. It was decided after Max's incarceration, be it justified or not, that the forum would be best to remove his work in here.
On a personal note, it wasn't so much his style that disgusted me it was more that he was and I don't think anyone can deny this, openly promoting U/A sex by his constant choice of models and how they were dressed. Most of them were made up to look as young as possible. He was in my view a low life who was peddling his wares to the lowest common denominator.

As a forum we have always found child abuse, as this is what it amounts to, totally abhorrent and his material, although legal, may have encouraged certain elements to our site that we can well do without!!

I love when they get caught doing the things they claimed they were protecting us from. One day we are going to see Ashcroft on the list with Hastert. I can feel it. "thou doth protest too much"
