Becoming a porn producer

So, I reckon I could make some pretty decent content, filming myself and amateur/pro models. A mix of POV and tripod shots.

I've got the nessecary skills and uh... equipment, and without going into too much detail, I think my content would stand out from the crowd.

BUT.... once I've made and edited some truly filthy material and burned it to DVD, replete with menus and music, how can I sell it?

Could I send it off to a well known company like Evil Angel, hoping they would give me some kind of distribution deal?

I wouldn't really want to go the website route initially, but is that the only viable option for a lone gunman?

I researched becoming a porn star in the early 2000's. At that point in time, it really came down to the lucky circumstance of living in LA and "knowing somebody".

If you have confidence in your attributes and performance, I suggest making your own material and letting it substantiate before trying to recruit yourself to a company like Evil Angel. They have so many males to choose from in that metropolitan area that you're REALLY going to have to stand out.

So, no easy route. That's a shame, but also explains why there aren't more people doing it.

To be clear, I'm not really interested in being a porn star as such. Doing the bone work myself would just save on production costs and allow me to have a bit of extra fun.

If this pipe dream ever happens, I'll be sure to post the results!
