Problem with HJ SPLIT AVI MOVIE

Hey guys - I need help here. Just downloaded Lilly Thai - all 12 parts - the feeding frenzy .AVI movie, but now it doesn't seem to work. I've joined the movie with HJ SPLIT and watched it in the past. But now, windows media player suddenly gives me the message "The player might not support the file or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Like I said, I've played this movie before and there wasn't a problem - neither is playing other .AVI movies - even ones that have to be joined. Any insight here?

Media Player Classic is a lot more tolerant of things like this

HJ Split sems to be crap, it does not check the files, just simply joins them. You will never know if its correct. And it does not offer any "shiled" kinda wrapping for the package on the net like RAR does.
I have got many HJ joined files with erros, everything seems fine. But it just doesn't work. So I have to download them again, until it works.

The Codec missing och just some error with it.

Thanks Tonic - I believe you are correct. I downloaded some software and checked the file - I had the correct codecs loaded on my computer, but the file was truncated - meaning shit was missing. How that happened I don't know, but hey - they're computers...

BTW, love the Kum and Go gas stations - I get a kick out of those myself...
