making gifs on a mac
Sorry about another question because I can't do things as easily on my old school ibook. Is there any free software to make gifs? I am also getting pdf's instead of a jpg from my avi video files off my camera. I would have more good stuff to post if i wasn't hindered by this. Thanks for any help!
Not really sure that I know the answer but Graphicconverter available as very cheap shareware from www.lemkesoft.de will allow you to convert between most formats. You can get screengrabs using Grab and then use Graphicconverter to turn it into a gif.
But why use GIF for images? GIF is a format better suited to line diagrams. I'd use jpg since it gives much more efficient compression.
