Having trouble uploading videos - help

Hey there. I know how to do this but have been having trouble for some reason. I have been a member of the forum off and on for many years going as far back as 2000 or 99. Anyhow, I want to share but every time I try to upload videos it just gets hung up. I have a video that I used HJSplit to divide into 19MB pieces, but for some reason it will not ever upload. I have changed web browsers, tried to only attach one piece at a time... nothing works. I have spent nearly 3 hours trying. Has anyone else encountered this? Suggestions? Thanks...

I had that problem on the old server but not now. If you have a slow connection you will timeout due to inactivity. If you surf the forum while you are uploading you should stay signed in until the upload has finished.

Thanks for the response Simon. I have a very fast connection, tht ais not the problem. I have stayed signed in and let it sit for 30 minutes and still it will not upload. quite frustrating....

what type of connection are you on?

sadly pending your connection your upload speed is going to be significantly slower than your download speed so you may just have to be patient. Do you have any other things using your upload bandwidth while you're posting?

Yes! I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who had this problem. Can some one help? I've been trying to upload for two days now - and it keeps hanging up on me. Whats the deal? I have a relatively fast connection! I want to share but I can't! WHY?

What type of connection are you on?

Alot of cable or dsl connections will be something like 6-8 mb/sec download but only 512k or 1024k upload so they're 6-15 times slower uploading data than downloading. I always turn off most of my background apps like torrents, chat programs etc... as well as they use a bit of your upload bandwidth, but sadly unless you're on a business class type connection its just going to be alot slower.
