I have a Macbook using Mac OS X software. Does anyone know what is needed to view these vids: avi, mpeg, etc. I thought my quicktime player would have done the trick, but I was wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
Quicktime will play most vids (including WMV, FLV, AVI files) but sometimes you need the right plug-ins. It is best to look at the Apple support pages for links to the right ones.
However, I understand that the codecs were never developed for Macs for some versions of AVI (& possibly MPEG) files. For those it doesn't matter what player you have, a Mac won't play them (except if you load Windows - but I could never see the point in that!). However, I don't find very many files these days that my Mac won't play.
Hope this helps
