HJ split Files and Google Chrome

I am wondering if the webmaster can ask Vbulletin why hjsplit files (.001, .002, .003 etc) download with a double file extension in Google Chrome and apparently Operas well. Chrome does not have the same behavior when downloading HJsplit files from any other source, but when you download them from this forum they get an extension tagged on

ie movie.avi split into 2 parts and downloaded in Chrome =

movie.avi.001.mpg
movie.avi.002.mpg

These files then need to be renamed manually before joining, it is a bit of a pain, especially if there are 30 parts. If you can help it would be a great service for Chrome users.

I think you will find that at the bottom of your download box you have "save as type" .mpg selected.

You need to select "all files" and you won't have the .mpg extension added.

By default, Google Chrome does not prompt you with a "Save as" dialog when you download, it just downloads to the default location. Curious, i changed the setting to prompt me every time, and .001 comes up as type "Movie Clip" and has the triple extension.

ie Chubby Bukkake 1.flv.001.mpg

Changing it to "All Files" does not remove the extension, it still needs to be manually modified. Regardless, this behavior only happens on this site when using Chrome (or apparently Opera) and has been confirmed by other users. I'm quite certain it is a compatibility issue between the forum software and the browser.

I could use IE or Firefox but Chrome is so much faster, even with the triple extensions.
