I'm really curious what everyone's thoughts are on music in porn. Do you like it? Do you hate it? Is it good sometimes, not others?

Curious to see what you have to say!

For option number 4, "Sometimes", please explain in what cases you like it and what cases you don't. For example, do you only like music if the video is a compilation? Is it ok in pro porn, but not amateur porn? Is it ok only if the music fits the theme and if you can hear whats going on? The list is endless.

For me, the answer is "Sometimes". And I MUST always here the action, even if its just a little bit! I used to think music only belonged in compilations, but lately some things have been changing my mind. My wife and I subscribed to X-Art, which turned out to be the best porn EVER for couples to watch! They always have music in the beginning of their videos, and we thought it worked quite nicely in that case. Also, I was editing a video of our own and felt like something was missing. I added some music and balanced it with the sounds in the video, and to me it really improved the video.

I really don't like it. Thank God the music is mostly gone from gonzo porn nowadays. I remember those Gangbang Girl movies having such annoying repetitive music that muting the sound was pretty much the only option to enjoy the action.

Good music dont turn me off, (i like some jazz or soul for foreplay or oral sex) but the amateur electro of most porn movie...
Even in an ascensor I dont accept so rotten sound!

It really does depend on the scene and the music in question. If it's an artistic, sensual scene then good music can definitely play a role.

Most of the time it's just a distraction though. I'd much rather hear the sounds of fucking than some shitty canned music.

I think most of the time music doesn't belong in porn. It is very distracting. That said, my man put music to a video of mine once and I enjoyed the way it looked and sounded.

You might not be, but I could see your question being asked by a person who likes porn, and also loves music (like a musician would).

I am a musician, and I am 100% inline with the sentiment above from the gloryholeprincess. Music in porn is totally distracting most of the time. I have been watching porn now for about 25 years, and I rarely ever remember thinking "well, that was a very nice accompaniment to the double anal".....

I LOVE music more than anything, but porn is the one area in life where it gets excused easily.

However, there are some 'porn' scenes that music does work well in. Most of those applications are softcore (I cannot imagine 'Red Shoe Diaries' without 'Sadness Part One'). Very rare indeed.

Last point....since this is Facial Forum-maybe others like me have found various facial cumshot compilations on the internets somewhere.

There are so many horrificly bad compilations out there. I could probably download them and make a comedy reel here! The facials themselves are alright, but I really do not want to hear the poster's crappy local band providing the soundtrack, nor Cannibal Corpse, nor Whitesnake, and definitely not R Kelly (I have seen it)!
