    Lightbulb

I had an iPhone then got sick and tired of "The Gospel According To Jobbs"
When I buy a piece of kit I would expect to be able to adapt it to however I want it, not how Apple tell you to.
Don't get me wrong, once I jailbroke it, I was well pleased as it is a great piece of kit but I got fed up with the constant hanging around waiting for a new jailbreak for everytime Apple updated the software.

    So

I jumped onboard the good ship Android, bought myself a Samsung Galaxy II and never looked back.
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people who develop custom ROMS,(Operating Systems), for it.
These guys actually get the updates to various countries out before Samsung do!!!

As far as a phone is concerned Alarr, it is all down to just exactly what you will be using it for but I really can't see past my SGII
I use it as a phone, a camera, a video camera, a music player and even if I am caught short and with the right software, also for office work.

In fact, the only phone I would now consider changing it for, is the Samsung Galaxy III

    I would agree with Alkie,

Especially when it comes to how user unfriendly Iphones are. Let alone the fact that most android screens seem to be about 1/3 bigger than Iphone. No jailbreak required just plug it in to your pc/laptop with a usb and drop whatever you want into the phone. I have an older model htc android as well and even though it is older I still consider it a better phone including taking pics, browsing the net and even HD video.

Oh yeah and when I press the number keys in a certain order I can hear the voice of someone I know on the other end

Thanks a lot for the suggestion, not a great fan of Apple, despite their quality.

Hey Alkie, thanks a lot for the advice and the time writing it. Long time Nokia user here but heard so many good things about Samsung, that we were looking into them (Sams SIII mini). Similar use to what you described, including instant email.Definetely going for Samsung (warning :get ready to receive 2 mails per day asking how this or that works... ;-)))
