Question
Any one else following the news of the lawsuits in the US by exgirlfriends having their pictures posted online without their permission? They want to hold the website liable and the people who download them too.
This seems to be a slippery road because, 1) how do you know what those pictures are. A lot of the amat material is made to look amat so it is hard to tell.
2) At the same time, I would not want to post something if the people in the pictures do not wish to have the material online, but once online it is practically impossible to take back, and how do you know if they mind?
Basically the only people that are going to get sued are the ones that fall under that jurisdiction and can be traced.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
