This is my favourite topic. I suppose it's the
furtive nature of it!! I wonder why dogging
hasn't taken off in the US to the extent that it
has in the UK? There must be loads of secret
locations in that huge country. BTW...does
anyone know WHY it is called 'dogging'?!!

Answering my own question, I have now found out how it came about. Back
in the '70s, some people in the UK started having sex outdoors, and
others followed them to watch, in other words they were 'dogging their
footsteps'. That's how the word came to be used for this undercover (and
delicious!!) practice.
