The one thing I have noticed with vista is you need,I mean really need, 2 gigs of ram. Otherwise you are asking for slow death speeds,I run 2 old programs on it ok,it does funny stuff sometimes,see my post on a virus that wasn't in the help section. The one program I run is 10+ years old and the other is maybe 7,both games that run fine but run better in xp compatibility mode. I really haven't found any programs that just won't run on it. I would not upgrade an old machine with less ram and slower processer,it aint gonna work good.By the way,this from the link above-

is a load of shit ,it will not run on that.
