Don't worry Daryl. That happens quite a lot here - or it has to me anyway!
This is a great forum but there is one rule that drives me mad and that is that people can lay claim of ownership to material that is incredibly widely available. It is indeed honourable of the moderators to try and protect these claims but ultimately meaningless when in 2 clicks of a mouse you could be looking at the same pics on another site. In this particular case I even payed to get those pics off Digitalhottiesdotcom!
I also think this rule is harmful to the healhy growth of this site. I remember as a newbie being incredibly cautious about making my first post for fear of breaching the 'rule'. And then whenever I did breach the rule, I'd have my own personal tantrum and stop posting for a while. I'm sure lots of people don't post for the same reasons.
I really don't know how anyone is to know 'who owns what' so inevitably, time and bandwidth gets wasted time and time again. I know I posted the pics for Daryl feeling pretty safe because pics of the girl were already posted at 2 previous points in this thread and there are several more pics throughout the site. So inconsistency becomes another issue for me.
I'm not sure whether this site sees itself in any way as a democracy but maybe this issue could be opened up to a vote? If the majority are thinking reposting within this forum is acceptable then why not allow it. Surely the real big issue is reposting on other sites - an issue that no-one has any control over anyway!
So for me for now, the tantrum starts again and I won't post again until I get over my indignance........ and Daryl will get the pics anyway because I'll email them to him! So the rule hasn't really achieved much.
Obviously it would be a pretty boring world if we all held the same view so I'd be interested in the thoughts and perspectives of others?
PS. PLease don't thinking I'm having a go at the Moderators because I'm not. They do a sterling job and post some great stuff. My issue is with the 'rule' (hopefully that's clear!)
