I started being a vegetarian in August 2008, i'm liking it so far.
As for the supplements, I take 30mg, chelated. You shouldn't exceed about 50 mg, otherwise you will probably start feeling sick. The only high sources of zinc are oysters and beef shanks. Other foods are 5mg per serving or less, so you don't have to worry about toxicity really.
Other supplements: Lecithin 1200 mg, and L-Lysine 500 mg.
