Need to edit WMV or convert to MPG

I have found a lot of videos and many have hard to find cumshots. The problem is that they are at the end of some very large movie files. I would like to use Movie Maker in windows but the files are WMV. Is there a way to convert them to MPG? Is there another way to edit them in the WMV format?

No point in converting them to mpg's that will just increase the size of the file. You can still use .wmv in movie maker but I wouldn't recommend all that hassle.
There is an easy and much less time consuming way to do what you want.

try a WMV splitter, like Boilsoft Video Splitter (PC).

I have used it with good resluts. WMV is a mess and the splitters does not always produce a good file (syncing problems and so on).

Try to split at keyframes!

Always check the results. WMV is very sensitve.

Edit in MPEG Streamclip and export to MP4, smaller files and less hassel in the future.
