s.o. tried to log into my account

Last night I got four email notifications that someone tried to log into my account from four different IP adresses in just two minutes!

Did this happen to anyone else last night or in the past???

I hope that the FF accounts are secured best possible against hackers, especially the platinum accounts. But of course, everybody here needs to feel save to be able to enjoy this great forum...
I notified the adims about this incident and I hope that no one suffered any damage.

Yes we all need to be on our guard for hackers... Remember your user account is only as secure as the password.

CHANGE IT OFTEN.

NUMBERS IN THE MIDDLE OF LETTERS IN AN AT LEAST 8 CHARACTER STRING ARE BEST.

Many of these attacks are bots and have low intelligence.

We strive to keep this wonderful community secure and I am proud that we have had no breaches yet.

Please be security conscious.

To the other members: think about your password details, make it as safe as possible. This makes this forum a safer place for all of us. Don't forget that the internet is still the internet, and that there are many assholes out there trying to rip you off...

about 3 weeks ago.

I need to change my password again, but with the groups and forums I belong to I am afraid I would forget it. Writing it down is no good (duh!) but especially with the wife around it would suck to have her come in and delete everything--which she has done before!
