There are several reasons why people refuse to pay for content from this site. I will list a few of them now (hey, you asked).

(1) Outdated format: This type of bulletin board was an effective way to share and discuss content a decade ago. Consider moving into the 21st century.

(2) Security: I honestly cannot think of a more insecure thing to do than to allow users to upload content, and then have other users download it, unaltered, to run on their systems.

(3) vBulletin: I would post links that detail the vast number of security holes in this particular piece of software but it's against the rules (see example #1).

(4) Moderators: I completely understand the need to keep content under control when supplied by the unwashed masses. However, the moderators here seem to have serious control issues (if you ban me for making this observation, you're simply proving my point).

(5) Price: This should probably be number 1. Why on earth would I pay $30 dollars a month for something that I can get for free, or at least cheaper, anywhere else on the web? (with the exception of a few users' personal pics/videos of course).

There's my opinion. Go ahead and ban me if you want. But I assure you I'm not the only person making these observations.

1. Seem to be hundreds of boards just like this across the internet, on a multitude of subjects, all using similar software, must work reasonably well at least.
2. Why are you here then?
3. Again, if you consider it that bad, why visit?
4. Don't make sweeping generalisations, I find it perfectly easy to resist banning you, so your point is worthless.
5. Again, why do you come here then, if what you want to see is so readily available elsewhere.

Seems plenty of other people are prepared to take their choice and pay their money, witness earlier posts in this thread, not sure what makes you seem to think your opinion is more valuable than theirs.

I personally wouldn't ban you for stating your opinion although I can't agree with most it.
What also baffles me is why you are actually here, given your seemingly long list of objections to the place, seems somewhat illogical and contradictory.
