An observation...if you think the free section is good the plat section will blow your mind and that is no hollow boast people...

I can seriously vouch for this statement. It still blows my mind what I find here.

Too expensive for downloading/watching stolen content from pay sites. If the server is really so expensive you should look for a cheaper one. I have no problem in participating to get the server paid. But this is too much. So i use the "saved money" for joining directly to various sites for 1 month and get the content on the direct way.

Also i am mostly interested in pictures. Here is you receise the pics. Even platinum members only can watch the receised pics from non plat members. This ist not good. The quantity and varity of pics in the plat section is not as good like in the free section. There are mostly vids.

I apreciate the effort in running a site like this. But platinum is no more a good deal for me.

I respect your views mate but I have to strongly disagree with the first paragraph, we have an amazing variety of video material in Platinum and a fair percentage is homemade amateur clips, clips from our own wonderful members, videos that have been made exclusively for us by usually unknown models by my fellow admin SimonKemp, contributions that are given freely to us from our webmasters (gloryholeprincess to name but one) and we also sometimes run series of exclusively edited clips by the staff here, taken from raw footage of various clips that have never been shown anywhere.
So there is a helluva lot more to the Platinum section than just the content that you stated.

As far as server costs go, I don't think you realise what this is all about, either that or you haven't thought it through properly, in order to keep this place running 24/7 and to ensure we keep downtime to the minimum we have to ensure that we have secondary servers in place, back ups and all that goes with it which I am not going to bore you about. Suffice to say there is more to running and hosting a popular site such as this, than meets the eye.

On top of that we have to pay the ever increasing bandwidth charges, now this isn't like some unlimited ISP we have here where you can have unlimited downloads for nothing, to put it simply, we get charged every time you guys download material here, so it isn't just as easy as sticking one cheapo server in here and just sitting back and watching the money roll in
God knows I wish it were!!
No it is a constant struggle to ensure this place keeps running so I take exception to your first comments.
It is of course your decision to join other sites for a month at a time but I doubt very much if you will get the varied amount of material you will get here but that's your choice.

So if you prefer just using FF for looking at pix then that is also fine, Plat is principally a forum for videos, so of course it shouldn't be a surprise for anyone to find that there will be a larger selection of photos in the Free section!!
If pix are your thing no problem, we are glad you enjoy the Free section but as far as the Plat section is concerned please don't try to make out that is something that it's not, oh and please remember this...

...Without all your fellow Platinum members subs, (as it is they who help keep this place afloat), you wouldn't even have a free section, so think on.

I am not all together sure what point you are making here but if you are implying that it is unfair that Plat members can view material in the free section, I can't really see your logic here?

Hi, i mean it like this. If someone who is no plat member uploads hi res pictures they are receised to 1024x768. If a plat member or similar uploads pictures they keep mostley the original resolution/size. For viewing there is no difference between plat and non plat. Once receised it keeps receised. But this is not your fault. The forumsoftware does not make this. I can not understand why limiting the bandwich of oictures when the moovies force the main traffic. Also i know a server is not for free. I hope i explained it the rhigt way.

Being a simple chap who does not understand the workings of servers and suchlike I'd just like to make one observation regarding pictures on the Free forum.
I had a quick look around yesterday and frankly without Platinum members posting pics on the free forum you'd have a hell of a lot less to feast your eyes on. Personally I post between 30 and 50 pictures a day every day on the Platinum side of the forum and frankly I am only one of many, so there are plenty of pics this side of the forum.
Alkie has put all the arguments out there and I fully agree with them.
As to joining a site for a month good for you but how many do you join in a year? Just interested.

You answered your own question, "bandwidth"

1 - The Free Section is huge, filled with literally thousands of photos.
2 - The Free membership is huge, filled with literally thousands of potential downloaders.

If photos did not have a size cap on them, it is not inconceivable that some could be almost the same size as some of the short videos that are available in Platinum, if the free members here were able to download countless pix each having a size of say 2-3 mb's, then our combined bandwidth charges, together with our Platinum video downloads would be astronomical.

This place has survived for eight years now, sometimes by the skin of its teeth but I doubt if it would see a ninth year if this was allowed to happen.

I wont delve into the technical arguments here as im certain Alkie knows a whole lot more about it than i do. I will say this though, the platinum section is so good it sometimes makes me forget the free section altogether. Ive been an active member of this forum for several years and if you havent seen me that much its because i mainly post vids in the platinum section. I have no idea how many vids ive actually uploaded but its no small amount. All of those vids are up for grabs for anyone who joins the platinum side of Facialforum, and there are still many members who post way more than i do.
