Dear all,

We are very disappointed with the blind "vote for verified" members only. We are equally skeptical of people posting other's pictures as their own, and we would be equally pissed off at giving free months to "cheaters", but to blindly follow this without checking the "reasonability" of the claim goes against the purpose of such a competition.
We always envisioned the competition as an open forum for shy people like us to share, but if we are going to be discriminated against by "more liberated people", then this forum is not what we thought it was.

It's still a risk to keep private in times of fb, xing etc and to anonymise the pictures is totally o.k for me !! Even more than that !!

Dear all,

This is about the 6th or 7th time we have entered the competetion. We feel it is our way to give back to the community. In the past, our photos have been very sensored (for anonimity), therefore we knew that our votes would be low. But this month we got a little more daring, and based on the "reps" and private comments, it has been well received.

We are very disappointed with the blind "vote for verified" members only. We are equally skeptical of people posting other's pictures as their own, and we would be equally pissed off at giving free months to "cheaters", but to blindly follow this without checking the "reasonability" of the claim goes against the purpose of such a competition. Our membership goes back years, and our photos have been consistent, and never seen anywhere else but here, on the best facial forum in the world!

We choose not to verify because we are very worried about our photos getting out there. Also my GF accepts facials for ME, and to ask more of her would be "pushing my luck", as she puts it. So if we are not going to get votes because we choose not to verify, then we will not be in a sharing mode any time in the near future.

You are not the only one disappointed. This is an open competition for the members to vote however they choose. No one intimidates them or cajoles them into picking one entry over another. Each member makes their own decisions and casts the votes they want to make. That is not "discrimination" nor is it "blind" obedience. It is simply people understanding the situation, weighing all factors, and making their own choice. Verification is a valid part of that decision making. If you choose not to get verified then that is your choice. But you cannot make that choice and then blame people for making their own conclusions about it. Personally I am beyond tired of members who handicap their entries and then proceed to whine and complain when they do not get the votes they feel they deserve. Even worse when they threaten/promise to stop posting because of it. It is just a small, petty thing to do. So yes, I too am disappointed!

I want to reiterate that I am aware of why it happens, and the need for verification.
I was simply openly and honestly expressing my opinion (in this open forum)

My appologies to those that feel slighted by my opinion, that was not my intention.

The bottom line for me, is that it is always exciting for me to see new, and amateur photos, therefore, for me, the best way to encourage new people to submit, is to vote for them! As simple as that. No offense was intended, I am sorry if you took it that way.

If we do happen to win some free time (i.e. 1 month), I would like to request that the moderators split this time into 4 equal parts and donate it to each of this month's "unverified" submissions as my way to encourage further submissions.
