I am having issues with my pictures being compressed after they are processed through the "Upload Manager" pop-up window. I have recently discovered this when I uploaded screen grabs of high definition videos that are 1280 x 720 in dimension and 45 KB in size. Their dimensions and size have shrunk after the Upload Manager cranks them back out. I even tried using the original thread poster's VLC screen grabbed photos with the same result. The size parameters indicate 2.38 MB, 1024x1024 jpeg files which is not the limit my files are exceeding, so I thought. I am quite puzzled.
For an example, I have uploaded a screen shot from Pierre's thread http://www.facialforum.net/showthrea...eengrabs/page9 You will notice after downloading to your hard drive the photo is 307 KB, 1920 x 1080. But when I upload it into Upload Manager, the file size is 45 KB and 1024 x 576 dimension.
Why is the system compressing files and how do I prevent this compression for pictures? What am I doing wrong?
