I totally agree, and hope it goes away soon too, but I'm not so sure it will. Being an older guy I had to look this up. Come to find out it's called Ahegao, and apparently it's used alot in anime which is very popular with younger people. So we may be stuck seeing these silly cross eyed faces for some time to come.
